In cable manufacturing’s core process, the efficient and safe intra-factory transfer of heavy cable reels remains a critical bottleneck, with single reels often weighing dozens of tons and featuring massive dimensions. Traditional methods relying on overhead cranes with rail cars or manual heavy forklifts/trailers face restricted transfer paths, low efficiency, high safety risks, and demanding floor load requirements. Hangfa Robotics’ customer required a solution to boost capacity, ensure safety, and optimize logistics.
Hangfa Robotics developed a 60-ton payload heavy-duty AGV using the OmniTitan model. Custom-designed for omnidirectional movement, it achieves high-precision flexible motion (forward/backward, lateral, in-place rotation) in confined spaces. Automated transfer significantly reduces transit and waiting times, while multi-layer safety mechanisms—including intelligent obstacle avoidance—eliminate manual operation risks to protect personnel, goods, and equipment. Its omnidirectional capability minimizes aisle width needs, optimizing factory layout. This innovation revolutionizes heavy material handling, empowering cable manufacturers toward smart production and enhanced competitiveness.
