Project Background:


When assembling an aircraft, it is necessary to first place the fuselage onto the designated fixture, and then assemble the wings onto the fuselage. In the past, manual tooling was used to connect the wings and fuselage, which was slow in efficiency, low in safety, and had certain risks. The customer requires an AGV that can automatically transport and assemble wings and fuselage.

 



Solution:


Hangfa Robotics provides wing transport AGVs with a carrying capacity of 20 tons, using ribbon navigation for transportation. The wing transport vehicle is fixedly connected to the upper six degree of freedom fixture, which carries the wing. When the wing transport vehicle carries the fixture and wing to the side of the fuselage transport vehicle, it descends and makes the vehicle contact the ground. At this time, due to the large contact area, it stabilizes the fixture and wing. Then, the six degree of freedom fixture is used to fine tune the angle and position of the wing, allowing it to be smoothly and quickly installed on the fuselage.
