Project Background:

The drill rod of the rotary drilling rig can be up to 25m or longer, and the length of the drill rod varies among different models, with multiple key bars distributed on the drill rod. The automatic production of drill rods usually involves multiple processes, including positioners and robotic arm welding stations. The customer requires an AGV that can adapt to transporting drill rods of different lengths with a positioning accuracy of ± 10mm, and can handle drill rods at various workstations on the automated production line.

Solution:

Hangfa provides the OmniRhino AGV with dual vehicle linkage, which uses laser Slam navigation in the workshop scene and magnetic stripe navigation for precise positioning at the docking station of the positioner. The workpiece is lifted and placed using a scissor lift, and the drilling rod is supported by V-shaped supports with adjustable positions and quantities. The double car linkage distance covers 0-15m.
