Application of 8t heavy-duty AGV in the handling of wire coils

Project Background:

The traditional transportation method for wire coils is fuel powered forklifts, and the weighing process of wire coils requires cooperation with crane lifting, which increases workflow and conversion risks. The customer requires an AGV in the form of a fully automatic forklift, which is energy-saving and environmentally friendly, and can replace fuel powered forklifts to achieve cable reel weighing, automatic empty reel online and full reel offline work.

Solution:

Hangfa provides the OmniRhino AGV model with a carrying capacity of 8 tons. The wheel system consists of one set of differential steering wheels and two sets of fixed casters. The AGV has an automatic clamping function, with a fork arm extension and retraction stroke of 534mm, which can achieve fully automatic operation of cable up and down. Using laser SLAM navigation, it can communicate with the upper control system to achieve automatic scheduling. There are laser collision sensors installed at the front and rear of the vehicle, which can provide non-contact collision avoidance. There is also a collision edge sensor installed at the rear, which can achieve contact collision avoidance. AGV is equipped with an automatic charging station, which can achieve automatic charging function.
