Application of AGV for automatic painting of wind turbine blades on an 8t automatic painting line

Project Background:

The wind turbine blade painting room poses a significant risk to human health, and manual painting operations pose a significant safety risk. Additionally, the environment inside the painting room is unique, and the equipment needs to have explosion-proof treatment capabilities. The customer requires an AGV that has omnidirectional movement, collision and explosion prevention, emergency stop and other functions, and can be equipped with a robotic arm to maintain a certain distance from the blades for automatic spraying operations, replacing manual operations.

Solution:

Hangfa provides AGVs for automatic painting lines, with a carrying capacity of 8 tons. Laser distance sensors are used to detect the distance between the blades, which can maintain a certain distance from the blades for walking. Two AGVs on the left and right are symmetrically used for automatic painting operations, with a stopping accuracy of ± 10mm. AGV has two types of power supply: explosion-proof battery power supply and direct insertion power supply. The overall protection level of the vehicle is IP54, and the explosion-proof level is Exd Ⅱ B T4 Gb. And it has two control modes, automatic and manual, which can communicate with PLC. It adopts Profinet communication mode and can display equipment status in real time.
