Four wheeled transport vehicles are used for the transportation of wind turbine nacelle components

Project Background:


The traditional use of air cushion vehicles to transport wind turbine nacelle components often presents challenges such as limited transport paths, inability to climb slopes, high ground requirements, high maintenance costs, and complex operations. Especially when building new factories, high costs need to be invested in constructing high standard ground and arranging compressed air access points throughout the entire area. The customer requires a wheeled transport vehicle that can move horizontally, rotate in place, and move in all directions; Capable of lifting function; A transport vehicle that can achieve manual remote control of dual vehicle linkage, capable of carrying larger engine compartments for transportation.

 



Solution:


Hangfa provided 4 OmniTitan wheeled transport vehicles. The wheel system is composed of different numbers of differential steering wheels, which can achieve straight, oblique, translational, turning, in-situ rotation, and composite motion. The transfer vehicle is equipped with a self lifting function, with a lifting stroke of 200mm. It can drill into the supporting fixture to lift the fixture and large components together. The entire vehicle is equipped with sensor interfaces, which can integrate dual vehicle linkage and be operated by a single person, enabling the transportation of larger and longer workpieces.
